To ensure the same, in compliance with RBI mandates, certain features have been disabled on new and inactive cards - Online Payments, International Usage and Contactless Transactions.

But there's no reason to worry! You can easily re-enable them from the comfort of your home.

A Step-by-Step Guide

To enjoy seamless transactions, use your preferred medium and enable your cards

Using MyCards

  • Click here to open MyCards, HDFC Bank’s mobile based service platform
  • Login using your registered mobile number
  • Click on "Card Control"
  • Your current "Domestic" and "International" usage and respective limits will be displayed
  • Switch "On" for your desired feature or all of the above
  • Click "Update" at the bottom of the page and provide OTP for authentication.

Using EVA

  • Click here to open HDFC Bank’s Digital Assistant, EVA
  • Click on "Manage my Debit Card"
  • Next, select any one option to proceed ahead: - "Online (E-commerce) Transactions" or "International Transactions" or "Contactless Transactions"
  • Enter your registered 10-digit mobile number
  • You will receive an OTP, enter the same
  • Confirm the last 4 digits of your Debit Card number
  • Your current status for your desired transactions will be displayed as "Disabled". You can now "Enable" the same.

Using Mobile Banking

  • Login to using your 4-digit PIN or Touch ID
  • Click on "Menu" on top left-hand side and a panel will show up
  • Under "PAY" select "Cards"
  • Choose your Debit card
  • Click on "Show More" and the panel would expand
  • Click on "Customise" link next to "Limits and Restrictions"
  • Your current "Domestic" and "International" usage and respective limits will be displayed
  • Switch "On" for your desired feature or all of the above
  • Click "Confirm" at the bottom of the page

Using NetBanking

  • Login to NetBanking with your Customer ID number
  • Scroll down to "Debit Card" section, expand the same and choose your Debit card
  • Click on "Customise" link next to "Limits and Restrictions"
  • Your current "Domestic" and "International" usage and respective limits will be displayed
  • Switch "On" the desired feature or all of the above
  • Click "Confirm" at the bottom of the page.

Using WhatsApp Banking

  • Please save HDFC Bank’s Official WhatsApp number +91 70659 70659 to your contacts on your mobile phone
  • If viewing on your mobile, Click Here to add automatically
  • Send the text “Manage my Debit Card” to the above number
  • You will receive a response. Please select from one of the following and proceed:
    Online (E-Commerce) – Contactless - International
  • Next, enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  • Confirm the last 4 digits of your Debit Card number and proceed.
