How to Block Debit Card - Ways to Deactivate at HDFC Bank

MyCards

Step 1 :	Click on MyCards link https://mycards.hdfcbank.com/
Step 2 :	Enter registered mobile number and OTP
Step 3 :	On the Debit Card homepage*, click on Block Card Tab
Step 4 :	Select the reason for hotlisting and continue further
Step 5 :	You will receive a confirmation that the card has been hotlisted successfully

*Register your card by entering last 4 digits of your Debit Card number and the Date of Birth (DOB)

EVA

Step 1 :	Visit HDFC website using www.hdfcbank.com
Step 2 :	Click on the EVA chatbot on the right-hand side
Step 3 :	Select Debit Card services followed by Hotlist your Debit Card
Step 4 :	Enter your registered mobile number and the OTP
Step 5 :	Enter your Date of Birth (DOB) in DD/MM/YYYY format and click on proceed
Step 6 :	Enter the last 4 digits of your Debit Card and proceed
Step 7 :	Select the reason for hotlisting and confirm for blocking

WhatsApp

Step 1 :	Our WhatsApp no is 70700 22222, say Hi and proceed ahead
Step 2 :	Complete your one-time registration, input the last 4 digits of the customer ID followed by the OTP
Step 3 :	Simply type your query related to Debit Card or Select from the options (Under Other Services, select Debit Card services)
Step 4 :	Under Debit Card Services select Block my Debit Card and share reason for blocking
Step 5 :	The last 4 digits of your Debit Card will be displayed for Hotlisting. Kindly check before clicking on proceed to block
Step 6 :	You will receive a confirmation that the card has been de-activated

Mobile Banking

Step 1 :	Login to Mobile Banking via HDFC Bank app
Step 2 :	Login using your pin or fingerprint (if enabled)
Step 3 :	Click on Menu on the left-hand side corner
Step 4 :	Click on Pay and then on Cards. This will show details of the debit card/s linked to your account
Step 5 :	Click on the Debit Card number you wish to hotlist
Step 6 :	Select the reason for hotlisting and block the card
Step 7 :	You will receive a confirmation that your Debit Card has been hotlisted successfully

NetBanking

Step 1 :	Login to NetBanking using Customer ID and Password https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/
Step 2 :	Click on Card Section and then select Debit Card on the left-hand side.
Step 3 :	Click on Requests and then on Debit Card Hotlisting.
Step 4 :	Select the Debit Card for Hotlisting, select reason and mention remarks and confirm.
Step 5 :	You will receive a confirmation that the card has been hotlisted successfully
