- What happens to my existing Credit Card in case of an upgrade?
You can continue to use your existing HDFC Bank Credit Card until the new card reaches you.
Your existing card will be disabled once you start using your upgraded card or within 60 days of card upgrade or on the existing card’s expiry date, whichever comes earlier.
- When and where will I receive my new Credit Card?
Once you’ve submitted a request for a new Credit Card, HDFC Bank will dispatch the card to your registered address within 10-15 working days. You can continue to use your existing Credit Card till you receive your new card. We will keep you informed of the shipment details.
- What will happen to my existing Reward Points in case of an upgrade?
When you upgrade your HDFC Bank Credit Card, you will earn extra Reward Points, and the total value of your existing Reward Points will be the same. Transfer of points will be as per the conversion ratio in the Unified Conversion Portal.
- What will happen to the EMIs/loans and bill payments linked to my existing Credit Card?
All existing EMIs, bill payments and loans will be automatically transferred to your new HDFC Bank Credit Card.
- Will online, international and contactless usage feature be enabled on my upgraded Credit Card?
In line with the RBI circular dated 15th January 2020, all upgraded Credit Cards are disabled for online, international and contactless usage as a security enhancement measure. To enable these features, click to chat on Whatsapp or ask EVA.
- I’m unable to use my Credit Card for online and international transactions. How do I enable them?

- I have received an offer for a card upgrade along with a higher credit limit. How do I go about it?
