As a business owner, your operations often require you to transport goods from one place to another. However, while transporting goods, you must comply with the laws in place. As per the GST (Goods and Service Tax) laws, you have to have an e-way bill (EWB) to legally move goods across locations. An e-way bill is an electronic way bill concerning the movement of goods. As per the rules, a GST registered person is not permitted to transport goods with a value exceeding  ₹50,000 in a vehicle without an e-way bill.
