The standard prices for Bharat new gas connections and refills are non-subsidised and applicable to the majority of Indian consumers. However, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), the Government of India provides LPG connections at a subsidised rate (subsidy of ₹200 per cylinder) to women belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) households. The Oil Marketing Company (OMC) releases LPG gas connections under the PMUY scheme based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data available with the Ministry of Rural Development.

If you meet the criteria and present the required documents, including your ration card, address proof, Aadhaar number, and Jandhan/Bank Account, you can qualify for a subsidy on the Bharat Gas connection price.

Process to Register for a Bharat Gas New Connection

You must follow the below-mentioned steps to register online for your Bharat Gas connection:

Visit the official Bharat Gas website.
Click on ‘Register for new LPG connection’ on the home page.
Keep a scanned copy of your photograph, proof of identity, and ration card or other valid proof of address ready.
Select the type of LPG connection you want based on your eligibility, your state, and your district from the drop-down menu.
After making the selections, click on the ‘See list’ tab, to view the various Bharat gas distributors in your area.
Choose the distributor nearest to your location and click on ‘Continue’.
On the next page, fill in the KYC form with the relevant information. Double-check the details for accuracy to avoid any issues or delays in getting the LPG gas connection.
Once you have entered the details, check the declaration box, enter the captcha code, and verify your mobile number and email through OTP.
After submitting the form, you can attach the scanned documents. If you do not have scanned copies, you can fill up the application online and submit the duly filled application form along with the documents to the distributor physically.
Post verification of your information and documents, you will receive an update about the processing of your connection request on your registered mobile number and email ID.
