What is the Guest Policy in a Priority Pass
28 August, 2024
Synopsis
The Priority Pass programme offers members, and their guests access to over 1,000 airport lounges globally, with amenities such as refreshments and communication facilities, though guest visits may incur a fee.
Members should be aware of the specific guest policy for Priority Pass in place, as fees for guests and lounge visits beyond certain limits are chargeable.
The Priority Pass membership is non-transferable and requires the member's presence for guest access.
The Priority Pass programme offers a valuable opportunity for members to gain preferred access to over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide. These lounges provide a range of amenities, including refreshments, and access to communication facilities like phones, faxes, and the internet, along with conference rooms for business needs.
When considering the guest policy that Priority Pass offers, it's crucial to understand the specifics, particularly if you're planning to bring a guest to the airport lounge. This policy can significantly enhance your travel experience, allowing you to share the comfort of airport lounges with friends or family.
Understanding the Guest Policy of a Priority Pass
Most airport lounges within this program allow the inclusion of guests, albeit sometimes for a fee. It's advisable to check specific lounge details either through the official app or website. In cases where a fee is applicable, it will be charged to the account associated with your membership. It's worth noting that if your membership originates from a financial institution, the guest fees might differ.
Guest fee: Regarding the Priority Pass’s extra guest fee, it's generally set at a fixed fee. However, this fee might be waived or altered depending on the terms of your membership. This charge will be billed to your Credit Card post-visit. If you choose to purchase the Priority Pass online, the following fee is applicable:
For Standard plan: US $35 per guest, per visit
For Standard Plus plan: US $35 per guest, per visit
For Prestige plan: US $35 per guest, per visit
Guest limit: It's essential to check if the lounge you intend to visit has a guest limit, as this varies. While most do not impose restrictions on the number of guests, some might have specific limitations.
Payment process: When considering bringing a guest with Priority Pass, remember that guest fees are typically charged at a fixed rate to the Credit or Debit Card linked to your membership. Usually, you won't need to make any payment at the lounge entrance; instead, the charges are processed after your visit.
Access to membership card: On the question of whether you can allow another individual to use your membership card, the answer is no. The card is not transferable and lounge staff will verify that the name on your membership card matches the one on your boarding pass. The member must be present for their guests to gain access to the lounge.
