How to Check and Pay Traffic Challan Online in Kolkata?
19 December, 2023
Have you received a traffic challan recently? Breaking traffic rules can put you and others in danger; traffic challans are one of the ways to keep you accountable. Since roads are equipped with cameras and traffic police also tend to carry digital devices, you will typically receive an online challan with details on your registered mobile number. You can check Kolkata traffic challan online and pay it in a convenient manner. This article includes a step-by-step guide for e-challan payment in Kolkata.
Kolkata Traffic Challan Payment Process
You will receive a traffic challan if you or someone else who was driving your vehicle broke one or more traffic rules. The challan is delivered via post to your doorstep or sent to your contact digitally. As soon as you receive a challan, check the details of the vehicle, the driver, and the violated traffic rule for verification. You can pay the fine online via the simple methods mentioned below easily.
Please note that you will have to submit a legitimate proof for a stolen vehicle. Otherwise, you will be legally obliged to pay the fine. Once you have confirmed all details, you are advised to check the last date for fine payment or the validity of e-challan. To avoid being penalised or paying additional fine, it is better to pay the challan online via the official government website using payment instruments like UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, NetBanking, etc.
