You no longer have to incur expensive courier charges to send us account instructions. All you need to do is simply mail your instruction to a local PO Box in your country overseas. What's more, this facility is available to you free of charge.

What you need to do

Send your documents to HDFC Bank in 3 simple steps:

  • Download the relevant form
  • Fill the form and attach relevant documents (If required)
  • Send it through ordinary post to the P.O. Box address nearest to your location. Please ensure that you mention your Name, Customer Id and Account number with each request

On receipt of your request, an acknowledgement email will be sent to you on the email id maintained on the Bank records. We will not be in a position to act on your request if an email id is not available on the Bank records.

Schedule of Service Charges for charges applicable for individual instructions / requests.

Note:

  • Please ensure that you mention your Name, Customer ID and Account Number with each request
  • On receipt of your request, an acknowledgement email will be sent to you on the email ID maintained on the Bank records.
  • We will not be in a position to act on your request if an email ID is not available on the Bank records
  • Please write to nri@hdfcbank.com in case you need to send instruction apart from those listed above.
  • * Please send only the above listed 11 requests through the PO Box
  • The indicative delivery schedule for documents despatched through the PO Box is approximately 10-12 days for US and 8-10 days for other locations. Reference to any service levels including the delivery schedule are only indicative and should not be construed to refer to any commitment

Caution:

Please do not send any other document or instruction, including, but not limited to, Cheques, Demand Drafts or cash using the PO Box. HDFC Bank reserves the right to destroy such instruments or return them back to you, at its discretion. Only the above listed requests will be accepted by the NRI Service Desk through the PO Box.
