What is InstaAlert? |
HDFC Bank InstaAlert is a facility through which you can receive
latest information about your banking transactions on your HDFC
Bank Account. These could be event or frequency based alerts. Alerts
for which you are registered with the Bank are sent either via an
SMS on your mobile phone or through an email to your mail ID or
both.

What are the kinds of alerts that I can get? |
You can register for any or all of the following alerts:
- Debit transactions greater than Rs. 5,000/ Rs.10, 000/ Rs. 20,000/Rs.
50,000
- Credit in account greater than Rs. 5,000/ Rs.10, 000/ Rs. 20,000/Rs.
50,000
- Account balance below Rs. 5,000/ Rs.10, 000/ Rs. 20,000/Rs.
50,000
- Weekly account balance
- Salary credits*
- Utility bill payment due alert**
*You need to have a Corporate Salary Account
** You need to be registered for BillPay for this and this alert
will happen for presentment/biller companies

How often will I receive the alerts? |
Depending on the type of alerts selected, you will receive the
alert(s) when the particular event happens. However, in case of
the weekly account balance, the alert is sent once a week.

How do I register for InstaAlert? |
You can register for InstaAlert online by logging on to NetBanking.
Alternatively, you can fill an InstaAlert application form and drop
it at the nearest HDFC Bank branch.

Do I have to register separately for each alert or will
I automatically get all the alerts, once I register for this service?

On the InstaAlert application form, you need to tick on the alerts that you want to receive. You will receive alerts only for those options that you choose on the InstaAlert application form.
For each a/c he will have to fill separate e-age banking form. You can login to netbanking and register for InstaAlert.

I have more than one account. Will I get alerts for
all my accounts through one time registration? |
Yes, if you fill the account numbers in the application form.

Is it a charged service? |
The service is FREE for NR customers.

Can I give you more than one email IDs and mobile numbers
for my alert service? |
No, for a customer, we will send the alerts only on a single mobile
no. and email ID. However on one account, if there are 2 account
holders, both of them can give separate mobile nos./email IDs.

I have a joint account with HDFC Bank. Will you send
alerts to both account holders? |
Yes, if both of you are registered for the alerts service.

I am a second account holder. Will you send me alerts
to my email ID? |
Yes, if you are registered for the alerts service. Register Now

Do I need a special phone for receiving SMS based alerts? |
All you need to have is a GSM/CDMA mobile phone with a Domestic / International
connection. You need not be registered with any particular service provider.

Can I sign up for all the alerts or is there any restriction? |
Yes, you can sign up for all alerts. However for receiving Salary
alert, you need to have a Corporate Salary Account with HDFC Bank
and for receiving utility bill payment alert, you need to be registered
for BillPay with HDFC Bank and it needs to be a presentment/biller
company.

pay? |
For receiving utility bill payment alert, you need to be registered
for BillPay
with HDFC bank. This facility will be available only for presentment
/biller companies.

Do I need to sign up for BillPay separately? |
Yes, for receiving alerts on BillPay, you need to be registered
