HDFC Bank has won Bank of the year award in Business Today – KPMG study of India's Best Banks 2016.

Deputy Managing Director of HDFC Bank, Mr. Paresh Sukthankar accepting Bank of the year award at the hands of Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Finance, Government of Maharashtra. Business Today has been conducting its annual study of India's Best Banks since 1997 along with its knowledge partner, KPMG India. The study, which has been based on quantitative analysis for decades, had a jury for the second year in a row. The award winners were selected by the jury based on qualitative information.

Business Today also announced Quantitative Rankings, based on the broad parameters decided by KPMG India, which considered data from annual reports. In the rankings, HDFC Bank has emerged winner among large banks in two categories: Best Large Bank and Fastest Growing Large Bank, based on quantitative factors. These awards were announced in Business Today magazine in Janaury.
