Is Visa BillPay safe?

You can be sure that the payments made with Visa BillPay are safe and secure. That’s because they are secured, encrypted transactions, made with your HDFC Bank Visa Credit or Debit card.

What are my payment options?

There are two convenient services to choose between, depending on your requirements.

Pay Right Away Service –Just select the biller you want to pay, enter details of your bill and payment, and authorize the transaction with your HDFC Bank Visa Credit or Debit card.

Register and Pay Service– There is a short registration required here, but you will only need to enter your biller details once. Using this option, you will receive an electronic bill summary at Visa BillPay every billing cycle. This is in addition to your physical bill. You will also be sent email alerts, informing you of the amounts needing to be paid, and reminders in the case of overdue payments.

By when should I make my bill payments?

To ensure that your payments arrive before a due date and to avoid late payment charges, you need to make your payment at least 3 working days before the bill due date.

How can I prove I made a payment?

You can track your payments if you need to provide proof of a payment. Your bank or credit card statement will show the charge to your account. The statement will display "Visa Bill Pay” and an identifiable part of the biller name (Eg: Airtel Cell, when you make payments to Bharti Cellular Limited).

Do I receive reminders and alerts from Visa Bill Pay?

Yes, Visa Bill Pay provides you with a number of alerts to help you track your payments due and also the outcome of the payments made by you. As a registered user of Visa Bill Pay you can receive alerts on a new bill being presented to you, outcome of a payment made by you, etc. You would receive these alerts as emails at thee-mail addresses specified by you.

Can I pay someone else's bills using Visa BillPay?

Yes, you can pay someone else's bill through Visa Bill Pay. However, to do so you will have to add the name of the biller/payee in your list of billers/payees and provide the relevant account information.
