The following are eligible to open a Regular Savings Account: |

Resident Individuals (sole or joint
account). |

Hindu Undivided Families. |
 |
Foreign Nationals residing in India*.
If you are a Foreign National residing in India, you may open a Savings
Account by temporarily attaching an undertaking (QA
22 form), stating sources of credit and a copy of your Residence
Permit.

Account Operation
|
 |
A minimum deposit of Rs. 5,000/- is required to open an account and thereafter an Average Quarterly Amount of the same amount has to be maintained. |

Please Note: It is mandatory to maintain a minimum Average Quarterly Balance (AQB) of Rs. 5,000/-. If the balance falls below Rs. 5,000/- a service charge of Rs. 750/- will be levied per quarter. |
 |
If you open a Fixed
Deposit Account of Rs. 50,000/-, then you no longer have to maintain
a minimum balance of Rs. 5,000 on your Savings Account. In effect your
account becomes a Zero Balance Account. |
