For closure of account a format required to signed by ALL the account holders and submitted to us. Incase of any holding in the account, the same is required to be transferred before the closure. For which the account holder has to provided a valid Demat account number to which the holdings are to be transferred.
Incase of any pending dematerialsation, the account cannot be closed.
Also the account holder has to ensure that there are no pending corporate action like Bonus, Rights Issue allotment is due in the account to be closed as the company / registrar may not be able to credit the securities to the account.
