How does the card work? |

Your HDFC Bank Giftplus
card will be activated with the loaded INR amount within hours of the bank
getting the clear funds from you. Once active the card can be used at any
domestic or international location. All that the cardholder has to look for
is VISA logo  .
The HDFC Bank Giftplus card works just like a Debit Card for purchase transactions at Merchants' Establishments that have an electronic terminal. The only difference is that the transaction amount is directly debited from your HDFC Bank Giftplus card balance. However, unlike a Debit card, this card does not allow cash withdrawal at ATMs.
The card can however be used at all HDFC Bank ATMs for balance enquiry. It also has an IPIN, which gives the cardholder Internet access to his Giftplus card account. And last but not the least the cardholder can call up HDFC Bank PhoneBanking for any support or information needed on the card.
