What is the HDFC Bank Giftplus card?
The HDFC Bank Giftplus card is a magnetic strip based pre-paid card in partnership with Visa International, which offers you a unique mode of gifting. The card is packed according to the occasion of gifting!

Do I need to have HDFC Bank account to purchase the HDFC Bank Giftplus card?
No, you don't need to have an account with HDFC Bank to purchase the Bank Giftplus card. Simply walk into any of our HDFC bank branches in India and purchase an HDFC Bank Giftplus card over the counter.

How soon can the card be used after it is purchased?
Your card will be activated with the loaded amount within few hours from the bank having received the clear funds from you. Post activation the card is ready for use.

Are there any transactions for which this Card cannot be used?
Yes, the card cannot be used to withdraw cash. It has only POS usage.
Note: The Bank reserves the right to charge the Card holder for any unauthorized amounts.

What documents should I submit when I purchase the HDFC Bank Giftplus card?
If you are an existing HDFC Bank Current or Savings account holder then you need to just submit the Giftplus card application form.
If you are not an existing HDFC Bank Current or Savings account holder then you need to submit the Giftplus card application form along with your ID proof and address proof.

Can the value of the card be topped up?
Gifting we believe is special to the occasion and hence a reload on this card is not allowed. Every occasion is a new occasion and deserves a new card.

What is the maximum number of Cards that can be issued?
An applicant will be entitled to purchase of as many number of cards.

Can ATM PIN be changed?
No, the ATM PIN cannot be changed.
|

What if I forget my ATM PIN?
The cardholder can call the local HDFC bank PhoneBanking number and ask for a PIN reissuance. The PIN however will be delivered to the purchaser's address with the bank. Also, the PIN regeneration request can be logged over the net access given the your Giftplus card account.

Is there a fee levied for the use of the card?
No, there is no charge on the usage of the card. However, there are charges for reissuance.

Whom should I contact if my card is lost or stolen?
The cardholder can call the local PhoneBanking number and hotlist the card any time of the day or night. However, reissuance can be requested only by the purchaser and the reissued card will be delivered to his address.

What are the charges on the card?
The usage of the card is not charged but the reissuance of the card is charged Rs. 100 per reissuance and PIN regeneration is charged Rs. 50.
