What is ngpay?
ngpay is a software application launched by HDFC Bank
in association with JiGrahak that empowers the customer
to carry out a whole range of banking and commerce transactions
using the mobile phone. |

Can I use ngpay application
through a CDMA mobile phone?
You can download and use the ngpay application if you
have a Java enabled mobile handset that supports external
applications and games. |

Which telecom service connection is required to avail ngpay services?
ngpay services can be accessed by customers across all telecom networks. The only pre-requisite is that your mobile phone should be GPRS enabled and you need to be registered for MobileBanking service and Third Party Funds Transfer services of HDFC Bank NetBanking. |

What if I forget my ngpay PIN?
If you forget your ngpay PIN, you would have to call the
ngpay customer care on +91 - 80 - 67004000. Verification
would be done on your personal details. Post this you
would be asked the answer to a secret question which you
had set at the time of registration. |

How long will it take to transfer funds once I register a beneficiary?
Similar to NetBanking, you can transfer funds to a beneficiary
24 hours after registering him as a beneficiary |

After how many attempts will the ngpay PIN get disabled once I enter the wrong PIN?
If you enter the wrong PIN three times, it will get disabled
and you would have to contact the ngpay customer care
on +91- 80- 67004000 for resetting the same. |

I have registered for MobileBanking but not for NetBanking then in that case would I be able to do the Utility Bill Payments or Booking of Movie or Travel Tickets?
You can make Utility Bill Payments or Movie Ticket Bookings
using the Credit Card option (if you have one). |

What is Funds Transfer on ngpay?
With Funds Transfer on ngpay you can :
1. Transfer funds online from your HDFC Bank Account to another HDFC Bank Account
2. Transfer funds to any Visa Card (Debit or Credit) anywhere in India.
3. Tranfer funds from your HDFC Bank Account to any Bank Account in India using the NEFT facility.

do I use funds transfer services on ngpay?
- Select "My Services" from the main menu
- Click on your HDFC Bank account.
- Select 'Funds Transfer' from the menu
- Enter Authorization Details (Customer ID and IPIN)
- Select type of funds transfer
- Enter Transfer details- Sender and Recipient Information
- Confirm transaction

What is the pre-requisite to avail funds transfer services?
You need to be registered for Third Party Funds Transfer
services of HDFC Bank NetBanking. Please contact your
nearest HDFC Bank branch to register for Third Party Transfer

How
much time would it take for the beneficiary to get the
credit?
For Funds transfer
- Within HDFC Bank Accounts is a real-time transaction
and the debit and credit will reflect in the respective
accounts immediately.
- In case the beneficiary is a Visa card, funds would be credited in the beneficiary account after two working days.

What is the charge to avail Funds Transfer through ngpay?
There is no charge to transfer funds between HDFC Bank accounts. In case the beneficiary is a Visa Card (Debit or Credit), a nominal fees of Rs. 20/- (plus taxes) would be levied.

Is there any limit on the amount of Funds Transfer or Merchant Payments on ngpay?
a. The combined limit for transferring funds / making merchant payments on ngpay is Rs 50,000/- per day. b. Monthly limit on making merchant payments is Rs. 50,000/-. c. Monthly limit on Funds Transfer is Rs. 1,00,000/-.

How do I avail of the MobileBanking service?
When opening an account with HDFC Bank, you can opt for MobileBanking in the account opening document. If you are an existing HDFC customer, you can apply for MobileBanking through the combined Direct Banking Channels form. You can download the form, complete it and hand it over to your nearest HDFC branch.If you already have an account with the Bank and if you are registered for NetBanking , you can register online using the "MobileBanking registration" option available inside NetBanking.

How
is MobileBanking different from making a call on my mobile
phone or using PhoneBanking?
- You are not required to dial a number.
- Simply use ngpay downloaded on your phone.
- You are not required to go through an IVR system.
Neither ngpay nor HDFC Bank charge for this service and you do not incur call charges. Your Cellular Service Provider may levy a nominal charge for the GPRS facility. On MobileBanking, you actually see your banking transactions on your mobile phone screen as opposed to hearing a message over the phone .

Does
it cost anything?
No, this service is brought to you FREE from HDFC Bank
and ngpay. Also, since you are using the GPRS service
from your mobile phone, you do not incur any airtime charges.
However, your Cellular Service Provider may levy a nominal
Value Added Services (VAS) charge for the GPRS facility.

I stop a series of cheques?
Currently, you can issue a stop payment instructions only
for one cheque at a time. |

No, you can get statements only for the Current Period.
Current Period is the period from the date your last statements

there a PIN number?
There is no PIN to access MobileBanking services of HDFC Bank, however you will have to use your 6 digit ngpay PIN to access MobileBanking services through ngpay. This PIN is the one selected by you at the time of ngpay registration process.Besides this you would need to enter your Cust ID and IPIN for authenticating Funds Transfer and merchant payments from your mobile phone.

If you have registered for MobileBanking on a particular
mobile phone and you lose this mobile phone, you should
inform the closest HDFC Bank branch of its loss. The MobileBanking

is Direct Pay?
HDFC Bank's Direct Pay facility enables you to shop online
without cash or card. This facility will Debit your HDFC
Bank Savings/Current Account directly using the Bank’s
NetBanking facility. |

How do I use Direct Pay on ngpay?
Shop on ngpay for any Partner using HDFC Bank's Direct
Pay facility, using a simple and secure process.
- Select the product you like to buy from the Partner
list provided.
- During the "Pay" process select HDFC
Bank account under "ngpay Wallet".
- Input your HDFC Bank account number, Customer ID
and NetBanking IPIN.(For ease of use, you can store
the Account Number and Cust ID on the ngpay application).
You need to enter only your NetBanking IPIN at the
time of transaction.
- Authorize the transaction using the ngpay PIN.
- The cost of purchases is debited directly to your
account and credited to the account of the establishment
** For added security you will be
asked to input your ngpay PIN twice during the Pay process**

Will
my bank account information in the 'ngpay Wallet' be safe?
Yes. Your credit card/bank account information will be
absolutely safe in your 'ngpay Wallet’. Your
credit card/bank account information is stored in an encrypted
form on your mobile phone (it is not stored on ngpay servers).
Also, it is encrypted when it is being transmitted to
payment gateway. In addition, input of the correct PIN
ensures that only an authorized user uses the credit card/bank
account information stored in your 'ngpay Wallet’.
Even in the event of loss of your mobile phone, your credit
card/bank account information will remain absolutely safe.

Add your HDFC Bank account information.
This will store your bank account information in the tamper-proof

financial transactions using mobile phones. Also HDFC
Bank offers the highest level of security available today
- 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. Your NetBanking
details (Customer ID and IPIN) are kept confidential and
cannot be viewed by the Partner or ngpay. |
