| What is a Customer Initiated Payment (CIP)? |
Customer Initiated Payment (CIP) is a fully online mode of sending money from your bank account in the United Kingdom using your bank's Internet Banking service.
| How do I make an online transfer from the UK? |
After filling the transaction details on Quickremit, access your account via Internet Banking and transfer the remittance amount to us through the Bankers Automated Clearing Service (BACS) option.
You will also need to provide the 'Internet Banking Trace Number' of your transaction to Quickremit. You can enter this number either while booking your transaction or much later through the Online Tracker facility.
The Internet Banking Trace Number is compulsory to process the transaction.
| Is it necessary for me or my beneficiary to have an account with HDFC Bank? |
No. It is not required by you or your beneficiary to have an account with HDFC Bank. All you need to have is an account with any of the UK bank.

No, you cannot do any trade/business related transactions through Quick remit.Only personal remittance will be allowed.

| Can I send money from a 3rd party account? |
No. As per the compliance process, you need to send money from your own overseas account only.
| If I have already used my existing yearly money transfer limit, can I enhance it? |
Yes, you can, provided you are holding an NRE/NRO Account with HDFC Bank. To enhance your limit, click here and submit the online form.
