    Service Tax for online transfers

    • For Amount of currency exchanged up to Rs.100,000 - tax * will be 0.1% of amount, or min Rs.25/-
    • For Amount of currency exchanged above Rs.100,000 up to Rs.1,000,000 - tax * will be Rs.100 + 0.05% of incremental amount above Rs.100,000

      * Education Cess @ 3% on the amount of service tax
    • Additionally, in case there is a Demand Draft drawn on Non-HDFC Bank location, extra fee of Rs. 0.75 per thousand (minimum amount of fee - Rs. 20) will be deducted.
      Fees and charges are subject to change; HDFC Bank reserves the right to modify the charge schedule without prior notice.

    Transaction limits for online transfers 

    • Minimum Amount of SGD to execute a transaction is SGD 250
    • Maximum Amount of SGD that can be sent in one transaction is SGD 5000

  • Registration Process

    • Step 1: Log on to www.hdfcbank.com
    • Step 2: Register yourself for Quick Remit service.

    Please note : There is no need to add your local bank account on our website.

  • Transaction process

    • Step1: Log on to Quickremit website
    • Step 2: Click on the "Remit Now" link.
    • Step 3: Choose your country as Singapore, with this you will be shown the currency as Singapore Dollars
    • Step 4: Choose "Bill Payment" as the preferred mode of transfer.
    • Step 5: Add details of the beneficiary, the recipient of your remittance in your Address Book.
    • Step 6: Add the amount that you want to send in Singapore Dollars
    • Step 7: Log on to DBS/PSOB Bank's website and initiate your Internet Banking Instruction, choosing the "Bill Payment" option, select Payee Name "HDFC Bank Ltd" from the drop down list and enter QR000 with '10' digit remittance reference number under Consumer Reference No, enter the amount of remittance and submit.

    We request you to please enter the 10 digit remittance reference number and the remitter's name in the payment description field on your bank’s website while initiating the payment. This would help us to trace and process your funds as per the schedule.

    Process mechanism : 

    • The money is directly credited to your beneficiary's bank account in 48 hours. You can also track the status of your remittance all the way till it is credited to your HDFC account.
  • Tracking your remittance

    • Log in to Quickremit to check the transaction status on the Online Tracker
    • If your transaction status reads "Funds in Clearing" then it means that we haven't received credit. As soon as we receive the money, the notification changes without delaying payment to the recipient in India.

    How do I make an online transfer from Singapore?

    After initiating a transaction on Quickremit, you can make an online transfer to HDFC Bank from your DBS Bank account through the Bill Payment option.
    Quickremit gives you a unique Remittance Transaction Reference Number (RTRN) for your transaction, enabling you to track your remittance online.

    What is the benefit of a Bill Payment money transfer?

    A Bill Payment money transfer is a completely online and the fastest way of sending money to India. Money is transferred from your account within 24 hours and delivered to the beneficiary in 48 hours.

    How do I make a Bill Payment transfer?

    To make a Bill Payment transfer, follow these simple steps:

    • Register at Quickremit and book a Bill Payment transfer
    • Initiate a transfer through Internet banking via your DBS Bank account

    DBS Bank will credit money from your account to HDFC Bank. Money is despatched to your beneficiary once we receive funds.

    How long does it take for a Bill Payment transfer to be processed?

    When you remit money to India via a Bill Payment transfer, we receive the money for processing from DBS Bank overnight and onward delivery to the beneficiary, which takes 48 hours.

    No, you cannot do any trade/business related transactions through Quick remit.Only personal remittance will be allowed.

    To activate your QR ID you can email us at quickremit@hdfcbank.com / quickremit@timesofmoney.com 

    Can I send money from a 3rd party account?

    No. As per the compliance process, you need to send money from your own overseas account only.

    If I have already used my existing yearly money transfer limit, can I enhance it?

    Yes, you can, provided you are holding an NRE/NRO Account with HDFC Bank. To enhance your limit, click here and submit the online form.
