Funding your account
How do I fund my Account?
You can fund your NRO Account with funds transferred from abroad in a freely convertible foreign currency in an approved manner or from an existing NRE/FCNR Account held in other banks. You may also fund from your local account or your existing NRO accounts held with other banks in India.

You may also directly remit the amount to us.

You can also open your NRO Account by tendering foreign currency notes/travelers cheques brought in during your visit to India.

Upon change of status from NRI to RI the responsibility of informing the bank remains with the customer.

NRO account can be held in Rupees only.
NRO accounts can be held jointly with Residents.

In case of change of status of a person from Resident to Non-Resident, his existing resident account will have to be closed and the proceeds transferred to an NRO account.
