Joint Account
In case of Joint Account holder(s) one ID document is required. The following documents can be obtained as acceptable ID proof for the joint applicant(s):

A. Joint Account Holder is NRI:
  • Photocopy of the pages of the passport containing passport details & personal details of all applicants
  • Photocopy of valid visa / work permit or any other proof of NRI status as laid down
    • B. Joint Account Holder is Resident Indian (in case of NRO only)
  • Photocopy of Valid Passport
  • Photocopy of Valid Permanent Driving license
  • Photocopy of Income Tax PAN Card
  • Photocopy of Government ID Card
  • Photocopy of Election Card
  • Photocopy of Photo Credit Card
  • Banker’s Verification with Photograph as per HDFC Bank proforma


    • In case where the Joint Applicant provides ID documents where signatures are not available and in cases where the Joint Applicant provides Driving License and Photo Credit Card as Identification documents, the Joint Applicant would be required to personally come to the Branch and sign in the presence of a Bank Officer or Branch Manager.
