Round 1 – Interactive Voice Recording System (IVR - Telephonic Test)

  • Parents of all participants will receive an SMS / email reminding them about the dates on which the test can be taken
  • Interactive Voice Recording System (IVR - Telephonic Test) based test will be conducted over telephone
  • The child, under the guidance of the parent, needs to dial the IVR(Telephonic Test) number specified during registration within the dates communicated
  • This test can also be taken via the internet. The participant needs to log on to www.hdfcbank.com/meritus in the Online test section with his / her Registered Phone Number
  • The child needs to dial from the Registered Number (Mobile number / Landline number), specified during the time of registration
  • Each child will have to answer 10 random questions. These questions will have 3 options and the participant has to select the correct answer
  • There are 3 sections of questions, each with a different weightage. The weightage to the easy questions will be lower and will increase as the questions get tougher
  • Most questions will be relevant to the curriculum of the student. Click here to view Sample Questions
  • The students will be grouped based on the standard they are studying in Questions will be asked accordingly. The 3 groups are as follows –
    Group 1 - Standard 4 and 5
    Group 2 - Standard 6 and 7
    Group 3 - Standard 8 and 9
  • Participants with the highest score will reach Round 2. All participants who do not qualify for Round 2 will receive a Participation Certificate or a Bronze Certificate based on their score

Round 2 - IVR(Telephonic Test)

  • The participants reaching the next level will be intimated through an SMS / email. Round 2 will also be conducted on similar lines as Round 1
  • Participants with highest scores in the Round 2 would be selected for the final rounds
  • Participants who do not clear Round 2 will receive a Silver Certificate

Please Note:
Round 1 and 2 will be conducted via the phone on IVR(Telephonic Test)
Students who are able to answer each question in the first attempt would be able to complete each IVR(Telephonic Test) test in less than 10 minutes. This will ensure that the child does not spend too much time during exam time in taking the IVR test(Telephonic Test)
The IVR test(Telephonic Test) can be taken at any time of the day (within the timeline intimated)
Parents could guide the child while taking the test
This will ensure involvement of the parents in this program
The final round includes written tests that need to be completed by the participant alone

Round 3 - Intermediate Round

  • Participants reaching the Round 3 will be intimated through an SMS & Email
  • Round 3 will be an Online test only. This test cannot be taken over the phone. Participant needs to log on to www.hdfcbank.com/meritus in the Online test section with his / her Registered Phone Number.
  • Every participant will have 2 attempts to take the test. The best score of the two attempts will be considered as the final score. Participants with high scores will reach the Final round

Round 4 - Final Written Test

  • Written tests will be conducted in the final round
  • The finalists need to visit the nearest test centre for taking the written tests
  • The details of the test centers and the test timings will be communicated to each finalist in advance
  • Participants reaching the final round will be evaluated on the basis of both academic and extra curricular activities along with written test scores Mentioned below are the criteria that will be considered for evaluation:

    Participants reaching the final written rounds need to carry the original mark sheets, certificates and documentary proof of their achievements for verification at the venue. Photocopies of these documents have to be submitted along with the form provided at the venue
